Dave's Birthday - Catlins

This Sunday it was Dave's Birthday, you will have to ask him but I think it was his 52nd (haha). So we headed down south to the Catlins.

School Camp

As we found out Hidi eats hu hu grubs all the time after eating about 10, she let one wriggle around in her mouth before eating it.

Tom's reaction, he got $10 for eating one though.

Making the rope course, Wendy and I had the task of designing and creating a low rope course for the kids at camp. As you can see we had great help especially from the one armed bandit next to me aka Maya.

Sea Lion

Playing with Sid 'the sicko' sea lion! I wanted a thick wet suit for the winter so thought Sid could cut me a deal.

As you can see Dave's thick skin is keeping him warm!

NZ end of March in the sea = UK end of September in the sea!

Surfing on the dodgy, children's surf board that I bought. It fly's when you body board on it though.

The line of trees in the center of the picture is the mid line between the equator and the south pole, as my trusty skipper Les tells me. I have told him he should have been a History teacher, as whenever we are driving around in work he gives me a history lesson on everything we pass. I don't know how much he actually knows buts its good to give him some stick.
