We travelled to Long Beach this weekend for one of Tom's m8's (Mikey) birthday parties. There was several families there and we had a great time.
Me and Dave go for a quick dip towards the end of the evening. We were swimming and body surfing for about half an hour, when suddenly Wendy who was on the beach enjoying her hot chocolate, starts shouting and pointing at something in the water travelling towards us. At first I just think it's another swimmer in a wetsuit, until it's head pops up and I can see its a full on sea lion. So we scarper back to the beach rather sharpish.
Later we find out that it's sea lion mating season, so I reckon it must of fancied Dave with that seaweed after-shave he wears. Plus we added a bit of our sent, when first getting into the water to warm us up.

Pavers, pavers, pavers.... seems all I have been doing in work lately. Good stuff though especially working with the lads. It was funny the other day after paving all week one of the lads I work with Dave goes to me in a kiwi accent, while riding in his flying banana (his car I renamed it 'Dave's flying banana') 'you know what aye! (kiwi's always say aye) last night was asleep and I was dreaming about you and me' at this point I try to exit the flying banana however he goes on. 'been working all day on them pavers, get to sleep then start dreaming about em, then wake up to a call off my (pa)rents to say could you pave our garden.' I reply to good job your bird ain't feeding you them when you get home, but don't worry I have some for lunch to share.'
